About the event
The main goal of this topical conference is aimed to enhance the visibility and recognition of the contributions of female scientist in the field of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and similar porous hybrid materials. For this reason, the majority of the talks will be presented by women, thus promoting the broad visibility of their work. The audience will be of mixed gender, encouraging diversity in an inclusive forum for scientific discussions.
We welcome attendees of all genders to participate in the 1st International Conference on EMPOWER Women in MOFs and Beyond! With the aim of reaching a larger audience and participation, the conference is held at two vibrant locations in Mexico: Mexico City, a key player in the MOF community in Mexico and, Merida, on the Yucatan Peninsula, known for its rich cultural and natural history. The two parts of the conference will have distinct agendas within the scope of the conference.
The conference offers two different registration categories: Faculty, post-doc & industrial attendees standard registration: $700 USD, late registration from Oct. 1st: $800 USD. Students standard registration: $400 USD, late registration from Oct. 1st: $450 USD. Registration fee includes: Admission to all sessions and workshops at the Conference in Mexico City and in Merida, lunches and Coffee breaks assigned in the program, welcoming toast at the main Conference in Mexico City (Nov. 9, 2025), and welcoming toast at the Main Conference in Merida (Nov. 12, 2025). The conference will host two Gala Dinners:
The Gala dinner in Mexico City (Nov. 10, 2025) and the Gala Dinner in Merida (Nov. 13, 2025) . Admission to one or both gala dinners is optional and comes with an additional cost of $65 USD for each Gala Dinner.
